Can't say it enough

For all who plan to ring in the new year with gusto, partying, celebrations whether at home with friends, family and loved ones, or out painting the town, please PLEASE make sure you have a DESIGNATED DRIVER if any of you plan to imbibe even just a little bit.

If having a party at home and others will be joining you, TAKE THE KEYS when they get in the door, put them somewhere safe.

An ounce of prevention.........*you know the saying*

I know most have common sense but I've lost too many friends to either road accidents or jail from DUI's. I can't stress enough the importance of arranging for at least one person in the group to remain sober.

If nothing else, most towns (at least in the usa and canada) have safety cab services that will come pick up for free on such nights. Usually they can be found in the phone book, by calling information, or calling the local cab service and asking for a referral. *adds* Most if not all bars will also have a number for safety cab service by their phones. Ask them.

I wouldn't want to lose anyone I know (or even those I have yet to have the pleasure of knowing) for something so easily prevented.

Please be SAFE this celebration night.

I wish you all well,
Dallas.

Same here, Dallas.
I stayed home and around midnight, somewhere, I wandered into Gor, wished those I know a Happy, and went to bed. I did imbibe, but the steps from my bar to my bed were easily handled, and there were no State Troopers to check my b/a measures.
It was a safe New years eve for me, which I sincerely hope was the case for everyone in here.
I hope everyone heeded your advice and that Gor of 2005 will be fun and exciting, and yes; even educational for all who visit here.

I was in bed sick with a tummy virus that was only supposed to last 26 hours, but I am going on 48 hours now and not feeling much better.

Blah.

But trust me, come drunkish to Gor and I won't miss that opportunity again!

Well, after I get feeling better. Yuck.

Happy New Year,
A very green Ticha
