It's like slammin' the phone down on someone 'cause ya dinna want to 'ear wot they were sayin'. It's like walkin' out an' slammin' the door on someone 'cause ya dinna want to 'ear wot they are sayin'. Sure, ya dinna 'ave to read somethin' someone wrote in the paper, an' ya dinna 'ave to listen to others' opinions, but it surely is a bit childish. O'course, sometimes we all let our anger git the best o'us. But it does imply that yer too immature to 'andle the situation in an adult manner. Now, dinna go gittin' yer knickers in a wad. It ain't jest 'cause Tyana closed 'er post, so many 'ave been doin' that lately, that I'ma afeared that I need to take me skillets to a lot o'ya! It's okay to disagree and to disagree strongly with someone. An' sure iff'n the situation results to violence or the potential o' (in real life) or name callin' an' petty bashin' then sure, ya should walk away. But wot I saw on this last post 'bout Terrorists were some disagreements an' some unnecessary defensiveness. Some o'the other posts that 'ave me irked dinna e'en git THAT far. Anyway, now I'ma gonna say me bit 'bout that post an' give me opinion. First, lemme say, despite me verra strong republican upbringin', I dinna like Bush. I dinna think 'e is good fer America or the world. Do I think 'e's workin' with Bin Laden an' that America organized the 911 attacks like that other BOSK****video claimed? HELL NO. That were jest wrong. Now, I did take offense to that statement 'bout Americans only kennin' wot our government tells us. I jest read yer post today though, Tyana, so I couldn't 'ave responded earlier, an' trust me I ain't jumpin' on Erin's bandwagon, but I do 'appen to agree with 'er 'bout that. 'owever, that's been talked to death already. But wot I wanted to address were this statement: quote: I ken assure ya, that there were terrorists an' crimes against America as well as many other countries long afore Bush were in office, an' long afore 'is Pa were in office. I ken tell ya that Saddam an' Osama an' their fanatics were verra active long afore 911 an' long afore e'en Desert Storm. An' I ken tell ya that THEY WANT YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE to believe that they are only reacting to Bush's strong arm tactics. But, lemme tell ya this, jest as sure as I ken tell ya that the grass is green, I ken tell ya with that much certainty, an' that much factual basis, that there were plans fer terrorism against the United States an' other countries, that there were terrorist trainin' schools in countries that ya'd ne'er believe, an' that there were terroristic activities against the United States an' other countries long afore Bush or 'is Pa stepped into office. An' those things I ken for a fact, first 'and. Terrorists ain't reactin' to Bush's tactics, there 'ave been terrorists fer a mighty long time. Terrorists are monsters who dinna ken 'ow to git along with others. Terrorists work to create terror, to divide, to strike fear, to cause people to lose faith in their gods, governments an' countries. An' they strike at innocent people to do so. That ain't a reaction, that's an attack; an unacceptable, unmitigated, irrational, unwarranted attack. To suggest that the terrorists are only reactin' to Bush, implies that they 'ave a right to be'ave in such a manner because Bush used strong arm tactics. An' I'ma sure ya dinna mean that. Dinna let the terrorists make ya think Bush is the bad guy, or that the American government is the bad guy. No government is perfect, an' no person is perfect. It takes a lot o'people to run a country. I dinna like Bush, an' I dinna approve o'some o'this administrations policies an' behaviours. But nothin' warrants the activities o'terrorism. An' like 'im or not, Bush dinna throw the first stone. I wish ya well, Fancy |

replied on: 3/23/2006 5:59:14 PM Thank you for your posting Fancy. I closed the last thread because it was getting ridiculous. It had nothing to do with people disagreeing with me. I have admitted that my wording was wrong regarding the people. I wont go there again due to obvious reasons. As far as the terrorists being around before Bush, I fully agree with you. I ALSO said in my last post that there are terrorists (radicals) that are there...just because. With all due respect, to avoid your thread being hi-jacked, I wont be replying to anymore comments on this thread. Thank you again for your posting. I wish you well, Tyana |
