| ibn_saran_LCS | Gorean Divide posted on: 9/19/2006 11:05:36 PM There is a rift in the community that is seperating us as a whole and the guidelines we want to follow and uphold. But why point the blame at people in a city or HS for their views and ways. The blame is on us all for not sticking to our ideals and seeing them through. We all want to say "oh they did this so its their fault." The Divide in the community is caused by all not just one as a whole our bickering, making fruitless meetings about standards (which one was held tonight the ideals behind it were thought thoroughly on and were good, but the ideas and pointing the blame or saying someone will do this and others will do that) will not lead us anywhere and will cause more ill-will between us. Lets come together for our gor that we all cherish and put personal ideals aside to have a good meeting or to put standards in place. How do you think we can do this you say? I have no idea but we can all think of a solution to better our world and online community to have it grow and have a steady stream of life in it. |

replied on: 9/20/2006 12:12:34 AM what i dont understand is why do people expect everyone in gor to hold hands and sing This Land is Our Land. you will never get more than a handful of people to hold the same ideas and ideals. there isnt anything wrong with this. HalGor has been around many years, and this so called rift isnt damaging Gor whatsoever. Gor is what you make it. it still manages to work, regardless of what perspectives people approach it with. |

From what I have read on this board, any idea, depending on who starts it, is bashed by certain people to the point the original object of the thread is lost. Riddick and Torrie have tried numerous times to get a basic guideline discussed and settled on for active role play but it hasn't materialized. You are tossing asspertions when you have yet to darken the door of halsoft in how long to actually see if any role play is happening. As Far as goreans coming together it may or may not occur. Even in the books the Cities of gor were not united about very much unless they had a common enemy. Other then that. The laws and control only went as Far as thier city gates. before you open your mouth maybe you should try building a city and filling it instead of having a FW do it for you. replied on: 9/26/2006 6:14:04 PM tracker hasnt existed in a long time. thats torrie, trying to hold onto what tracker had when he was, if at all, here. as i recall, it took her several days to come up with the hes my brother visiting me, to explain away the matching ip's. does anyone really pay any attention to them anymore? |
