| Melantha | I will not acknowledge..... posted on: 11/6/2006 10:43:17 PM For the "record", before things start coming up in Halsoft as they are bound to, I am stating I will not acknowledge Pac Shadow nor the woman with him, Aisha, in whatever shape, character or form they role-play in Halsoft. Furthermore, I do not accept him as Administrator of Brundisum, nor Aisha as Tatrix. This thread is not to bash, but simply lay the foundation where I stand on the issue. I am not asking people to guess why, nor will I go into detail here as to why on the boards, but feel free to IM me if you wish details. I know Beast knows of what is going on, and I can only assume that Jehan has heard or seen just as much as Beast and I. I am sure either Gentleman would share their reasons, as I could not speak for them. Emmaline |

From Drakani's link, it's 'lledged that Aisha an' Pac are one an' the same. Yet in other places I read (albeit briefly), their IP's dinna match a'all. So where's the proof they be one an' the same, iff'n that's the reason they are to be shunned? |

replied on: 11/9/2006 11:53:23 AM Actually Ratchet it's pretty simple and has been widely known in halsoft for a long time. This story is so long running and complex it would take weeks to lay it all out, but in short here it goes. The story is that on occasion Pac would visit aisha for real. During those times whenever he was online, obviously he would show her IP. However these instances became more and more frequent when it was unlikely Pac was indeed visiting that often considering they live in two separate countries. Then they introduced the (at first) NPC of Hermes who was a FM of Brundisium but as time went on both Pac and aisha would take turns actually role-playing this person. Now they did not admit this at first but the truth eventually came to light. During all this time Pac would do his occasional and famous disappearing acts and aisha would claim herself abandoned, become free and start preaching to people from her higher than thou throne. People took exception to it, go figure. One of these manifestations of self given freedom was Cardea who somewhere along the line ended up supposedly FCing Pac. Then there was another spat, another disappearance and then it came out that aisha had given text of private conversations between Pac and another Gorean man in regards to the Ubar of a well known city. A nasty spat ensued that was eventually cleared up between the honorable men involved (both directly and indirectly) not to include Pac. Shortly after this incident Pac and/or aisha (because at this point in time no one really knew any longer) decided to pack up and head to VooDoo where they enjoyed sort of a tabula rasa, or clean slate. They could start all over, no one really knew them or their games. And people accepted them at face value. Then once again Pac's disappearing acts began. During these spells aisha would again free herself and any other slave of the home and either beg another collar (two I know of personally) or set herself as a FW and this last time, and most hilarious, name herself, a slave mind you not legally freed, as Tatrix of Brundisium in Pac's absence. So at this point if that isn't enough to help you understand why people here in halsoft are saying "enough is too much" then I'll go one step further. People in VooDoo have begun to realize the truth of Pacaisha. "How can one be so sure?" you ask. Well the truth is relying in IPS is a faulty science. "Well why is that?" you might ask. Well let me explain. There are in fact many ways to thwart IP detection. Proxy servers being one of the most popular and/or remote accessing via one of the many popular offerings such as GoToMyPC (in case you want to read about it). The point is, we have reached a stage in technology where there is absolutely no way to be 100% sure of a person's truthfulness unless you are sitting smack dab on top of them in the flesh and watching every single thing they do. "What do we do then to try and avoid being played?" Well I'm happy to offer up my own well proven method. For starters you learn to watch for identifying signs in a person's behavior, speech or typing which are pretty much all we have to go on here online. Sure some people are quite skilled at deception and can carry it out for a long time. Some, however, are as obvious as the nose on your face. Pacaisha is the perfect example of that. Pac is not a good typist, neither is he a good english speller simply because english is not his first language, hell I doubt it's even his second or third. When Pac is actually at the keyboard there will be many typos, many sentences that simply make no sense but the most obvious sign of Pac at the wheel is that he has a NASTY HABIT OF HITTING THE CAPSLOCK KEY during sentences and then correcting it before the sentence is done. Now for all her obvious and well known faults, aisha is quite the typist, she is also well spoken and to her very minor credit, well read. So whenever you read a post by Pac, or role-play with him (should you ever have the displeasure) where he is speaking eloquently, making few to no typos and not hitting that capslock key, then you are in fact talking to aisha. It may have been at one time that Pac was a very honorable man, however the past several years have cast his character into doubt. Now however, unlike the person who feels Pac is not aware of aisha's actions, I happen to know for a fact he is not only aware but fully condones it. You see it's their little in your face to people who they feel are beneath them. Simply put, if Pac wasn't aware of her goings on, he would quickly be caught up on them simply by reading the boards, which he does. Again, It's been going on for years, people here in halsoft finally wised up to it and they were unceremoniously booted from the inner circles, however in VooDoo aisha flowery talked her way into good status with too many who are unwilling to believe they too can be fooled, therefore she went unchecked for a long time. Even now as more and more are waking up to the truth there is that small contingent hanging on to their misguided belief like a life raft in a tumultuous sea. Sad to see honestly. VooDoo will deal with their own as will those here in Halsoft. Every man, woman and creature ~gives a nod to keylee~ has the right to make their own decisions but surely you will agree it is better to make an informed decision rather than an ignorant one. But, I also think that iff'n yer gonna go to the trouble o' publically refusin' to acknowledge someone, ya might as well say why. An' iff'n ya dinna feel the why is anyone's business, then the public claim really is jest a tease. It's kinda like sayin', "Hey, I got some really juicy secrets on Joe Schmoe, an' because o' wot I 'eard, I ain't playin' with 'im, but I ain't gonna tell ya wot's goin' on - neener neener neener..." As long as ya present the facts, like Esoteric did, it ain't bashin' either. An' o' course, Pacaisha (good name, Esoteric!)can always come to the board an' dispute said information.
