ok what i find comical is the fact that NS post that E is having such a duck fit over is dated 5/25/06.. hmmm dude are you just a tad late in sending out warships? if was an actual roleplay and you waited that long and it was indeed that NS was declaring war YOU would be dead!
so can we say *personal vendetta*...just shakes my head.

now as for who i am. i am no one important..i am formerly of halgor. no i wasn't one of the many drama makers..i am plain and simple someone who enjoyed the roleplay and still do enjoy watching from afar. i choose not to participate because of personal reasons. i am not here to harm or bash..just state my own humble opinions. now if that doesn't satisfy your curiousity and still wish to know the name you may or may not know me as then please feel free to send me a chatarea msg and i will answer in the order it was recieved.

Be well All and Happy New Years!
Have Fun!

Perhaps the information needed to respond to a declaration of war (which has never been made) was not available at the time those 600 ships appeared. 600 ships anywhere would cause me some angst, but there is nothing in the post on that particular date to indicate hostility.

Presumption of "personal vendetta" is just that..a presumption and a very weak one at that. The movement of ships by the north recently indicates hostility coming from that area, not those who are defending by moving fleets to strategically defend their cities and allies.

If one reads, actually reads about Torvaldslanders and their ships, one would know they are not all that mobile in the dark months (winter). The sea freezes over and their men are kept busy breaking ice manually to prevent ships from becoming icebound and crushed. Torvaldslanders depend completely on ports to the south of them for everything. Their climate is not amenable to farming, which at best, is poor. Hence, whatever ships they got out before the dark months is, plausibly, the only ships they would feasibly and safely have out at all. It would be a vastly treacherous journey and I would imagine some ships would be lost as well as the men aboard them.

In many ways, this "war" is interesting and it will be interesting to see what comes of it. It should require much research and lots of strategy. The fact that posts have been scattered over several different boards that many dont have access to doesn't make it any easier to follow.

If your wish is to NOT bash or harm, then don't.

I wish you well.

ive never understood why people who distance themselves from gor always manage to jump in when friends have blundered. heres a thought...why not let your friends speak for themselves? this whole thing really doesnt concern anyone who isnt in gor

lol 600 ships leave Torvaldsland every year for the south to trade raid and get laid this was done in the spring time (May 25th)though shoulda been in apr 21st sorry was busy

but I still dont see where it states there on the Vosk

600 ships arnt that much when ya figure there are appx 2000 in Torvaldsland

1000 being loyal to the high Jarl

whom btw can pull men off of 10000 farms with the war arrow

Ya know most of the ships have hence returned
some have some havent some sunk.....and some well they may just be sneaking up on YOUR Homestone hahahahhaha

damn Sativa what do you have a beeper that goes off when someone posts? lol is it like RED ALERT on the Starship Enterprise??

I was kinda hopeing they were talking about something more recent then 7 months ago That wasnt even a statigic post it was one of Migration nothing ever really came of it. Guess coulda posted that most returned to the harvest fest but nothing was ever done after that on the subject so kinda forgot about it. Didnt know someone would go paranoid about it 7 months after the fact but I would think ships from all over would start to travel through the spring.

I would have figured that if by june 1st nothing more was done with that its done and over well damn Guess coulda done 600 posts for eachship had em all do something diffrent but being busy season in RT just kinda let it go

ok is my opps

its 1000 men in my longhouse

100 long ships I can call on of Torvaldsland
and with a war arrow men from 10000 farms

vein Blue Tooth was the high jarl of Torvaldsland, in the sense that he was generally regarded as the most powerful. In his hall, it was said he fed a thousand men. Beyond this his heralds could carry the war arrow, it was said, to ten thousand farms. Ten ships he had at his own wharves, and, it was said, he could summon a hundred more "He is your Jarl?" I asked.
"He was my Jarl," said Ivar Forkbeard.
