| Cyncat | A suggestion? posted on: 12/27/2006 3:45:40 PM What with everyone deciding to rp, but alot don't read all the other boards, and it's a guess and hearsay when others read it, but only tell certain parts of it... Why not add a rp section, one where TEXT can be placed, where actual rp can be posted. Since EVERYONE reads 3moons here, whether they post to it or acknowledge that they read it. AND leave it to everyone to be honourable (a stretch for some I know) and post everything, clean up the debugs, but don't change the text, even if it looks bad for some or not? Just a suggestion.. replied on: 12/27/2006 5:32:44 PM Personally I think it's a simple matter of logistics in that not everyone on Gor knew what others were doing, nor did they care in most instances. It is unlikely someone from Corcyrus would've been in the know of the goings on in Turia. Nor would they have likely cared unless it began to directly affect them. To that point I don't see why every person in Gor feels the need to know or be informed of what happens in the HS of others unless they interact with those people. So while I see some merit (like perhaps Grethos question, which of course he could simply ask in IM to the people involved) but for the most part I think part of the problem in Gor is that everyone feels the need to be in everyone else's business. If every role-play was posted here on the boards people would simply spend that much more time picking it apart and less time honing their own role-play. Since most homes do have their own boards, I feel if people want to know what is happening in another city they should seek out that forum. Honestly I avoid some people's personal boards because I know their role-play would drive me insane, therefore I am protected from being exposed to it .. usually. lol So again, while I see some merit in it (so people can know and not wonder) I find it better to IM and ask someone the intricacies of their role-play if I am curious. Just a thought. |

Text can be posted there, I guess though people have chosen other avenues for their RP events. It would kinda suck to find out your ('you' in the colletive sense) god moding wasn't being received kindly if it were posted on a public board, aye? *smirks* |

If the role-play doesn't meet with someone's standards then they can surely choose to simply ignore that person and their city. That's the way I see it. Now when someone starts cross god moding, involving other cities/peoples who aren't voluntarily involved, then it's a whole different story. Isn't it? |
