| VRL | VRL Charter posted on: 12/30/2006 4:36:10 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vosk River League Charter We, the undersigned, do, on this date, hereby declare and establish an alliance, to be known as the Vosk League. In so doing, we declare that: The City Leaders of the Vosk River do not accept the dominance, influence or authority implied or assumed by ANY City over the Vosk River and its Cities and Residents. The Vosk League is a vehicle for our common action, not common governance. We stand united for common defense, and safe, open trade between and amongst its members Article One: Admissions to the VRL 1) Why do you want to join the VRL? 2) After your 30 Days here with us on the vosk ,what contributions do you feel you can bring to the VRL 3) Have you read the VRL Mission Statement and are you willing to Conduct yourself accordingly 4) If in the event that you are asked to assist in the defence of anothers City that is part of the VRL you are obligated to do so 5) One must act within the boundrys of thier Caste and station in the Gorean community 6) This requirement is solely on the Administrator/Tatrix of a City A) Govern as Administrator B) Administrator/Tatrix will set the guidelines on Residency. c) An Administrator/Tatrix is accountable for the actions of the Cities Residents. d) Attend monthly meetings of the VRL bringing concerns and comments from your City residents that will effect the entire VRL. Article Two: Ownership to Holding a City as Administrator 1) A person who stakes a claim to a town along the vosk must hold that HS for 30 day before petitioning the 2)The administratror applying for entrence to the VRL must be brought to a vote by exsisting members with a 75 % agreement to acceptance into the League 3) Be willing to spend one evening/day a month at the VRL meeting and set up City Council meetings to bring the concerns, votes, and comments from your Residents. Article Three: Expulsion of VRL Members 1) A person from the VRL that attacks someone from another Region for an unjustified reason, and without informing the person why they being attacked. 2) Anyone who attacks another VRL member is subject to severe discipline. Not necessarily expulsion but is possible. 3) Any one who steals another VRL member’s property. (Capture of slaves in an unsafe zone, does not qualify here, altho lifting tags to an unproveked reasons accomplish such a capture does.) 4) Anyone found by the Administrators/Tatrix to not be conducting Himself or Herself according to the VRL Vision Statement is subject to expulsion. 5) We are a peaceful organization so there are no Ubar/Ubara unless we are called to war. 6)Two infractions of the Charter will result in expulsion. Article Four: Formation and Operation of the VRL Council 1) There will be a five member Council of Administrators/Tatrix,Duly elected by their peers of the VRL 2) The function of the Council is to form purposed guidelines and Article changes/additions for the members of the VRL to vote on. 3) The five members of the Council will elect a ChairPerson to conduct the meetings. 4) The Council member seats will be for a ninety day term, the Administrators/Tatrix will elect new council members at that time. Seperation of one term before a person can be elected back to Council. 5) The Council meetings will be operated in the following manner a) The council meetings will be held once a week at a time and day chosen by the Council members. b) Length of time allotted to be set by Council members at the beginning of each term. c) Meeting will be conducted in private and minutes taken to be presented to VRL membership at the Montly Meeting on request. d) Articles to be changed/added to will be discussed and a vote called, if passed by 2/3 majority, will be prepared for presentation to full VRL Membership for final approval. Article Six : Voting in the VRL 1) Meetings are being held the last Tuesday or everymonth 2) The meetings are to be held at the end of the month with voteing and amendments and ratifications the same night. 3) Meetings will be held at 10:00 PM eastern time Article Seven: Rules of Conduct with in the VRL 1) All Members are expected to conduct themselves in an Honorable gorean fashion pertaining to thier respective roles and not to be in competition with others of Halsoft Gor Article Eight: Declaration of War 1) In the event of an unprovoked attack declaring war on the Vosk River leage all cities and towns are to assist, 2) Any League member wishing to declare war, must bring it to the council and show just cause. 3) Any memeber attacking a ship on the Vosk river unprovoked is responsible for the out come on His or Her own Articale Nine: DEFENSE All Members agree to the mutual defense treaty implied by this document. An attack on one city will be interpreted as an attack on the League, and the League will take full retaliatory measures against the attackers. Defense procedures will be established to quickly relay Military Conditions along the Vosk. All Members agree to the mutual nonaggression pact implied by this document. No city shall take hostile action against another and shall never seek to harm a member city's citizens, trade or independence. The Vosk League does not stand for, or endorse, aggression by any member city against any city outside the League. As such, members cities are not bound to assist in the aggression of one city against any city outside the League. Defense It is assumed that all members have ongoing, NPC if necessary, patrols that will see any aggression that passes its way, either by land or river. SO, an attack on any city flanked by member cities could hardly be "by surprise." Any member city attacking another can expect to get quickly overrun by League Forces from all flanks, and control of that city will be assumed by the Council. In the event of an attack by an outside city; would warrant justification in the form of R/P logs, of the group leaving their city or lair and traveling to the besieged city. No group will be recognized unless this type of justification can be provided, without the logs the SL will not be viable and thus null and void. |

replied on: 12/30/2006 7:29:52 AM Those of use that voted on and agreed to the terms of the VRL charter. We understand the ramifications of out actions. Whom ever decided to use the VRL board name to post shows their cowardice. The actions taken as of the past few days have no bearing on the VRL since it has been basically defunked for some times. know one knows the where abouts of most of its members, due to real life circumstances or work schedules changing. I can remember just about everyone that was in the room at the time...as well as who had access to the VRL board... There was only a handful at the time...and then things just fizzled out. (As Beo has stated..) The VRL name was made by torrie...as she made and maintained the board...as well as pushed really hard for the VRL to start back up...(which am sure will be denied but I do have the text as I was there for the most part) As far as Kurdah goes, I haven't seen Him online lately...And last time I spoke with Him, He was busy DJ'ing at some radio station...(I personally don't feel like it was Him, and He's never lied to Me..least not that I've caught Him at..so next I see Him I'll ask..nods) I wish You Enough |

replied on: 1/1/2007 6:09:10 AM I created a board for the VRL on the request of the others, but isnt me. I resigned and understand the board created later went down. Those along the Vosk are few in number but apparently this new attemt to restart is selective on who is being allowed or invited in. I do wish them luck. Sorry folks, I wasnt one asked to participate so know nothing about it. As for Kurdah, he has been gone from Gor for a couple of years so not sure why he would even be brought up. quote: |

Oh yeah the charter was drafted by Midi. and we all sat in the room that night including you.But it never got passed or signed by anyone there.In fact that was the night you left and pulled your support competely from the VRL,along with some others that night. Now since that time,yes meeting were made and set-up,but not all attended at the same time to get it passed.One reason or another we never all sat down and signed it into law.So for you to step to this board and say that you were not asked to participate in it,on that i agree with you. BECAUSE there wasnt one for you to participate IN!!!!!!.AND one more thing before I leave back to my home.For your comment that it was selective on who is being allowed or invited in. Thats a total LIE!!!. ALL one had to do was to apply to it.PERIOD !!! And if you wish to discuss it further with me,by all means get on one of your ships and have one of your captains sail you to to Fina Port,Oh wait you cant,the vosk is full of vikings ships.Since there is no VRL to protect you and your home now. Well the start of this thread was the charter we had all agreed to in the begining and there was another board set up after several of us pulled out that night. btw, that charter was approved by the majority before the emergency meeting Beo called. That board was taken down but Tarkus was left the URL for it on his board after it was established. Some applied for approval to that board, since it was set up by approval only, only to have it deleted. Now it would appear another one has been set up by Mid but that URL hasnt been announced so we can apply. I would call that selective. I cant say with any certainty that the attempt isnt being made once more to bring the League back but it's obvious several are not being asked to participate or being recognized as Vosk Leaders. It's sad this is happening but I suppose they have their reasons. quote: One cant apply if the people dont know who to contact ET or where the board is located to make that attempt. Sativa, Perhaps a bit late but I dont read the dumpster all that often and I wouldnt say a few days is all that late. I dont live my life on these boards. |
