Dispersal Draft / Round 3: make your picks here
replied on: 11/18/2006 3:05:15 PM Unfortunately, we’re still waiting on Chris (WAS) to either post his pick here or email it to me. We’ve been waiting on him for nearly 22 hours. I’ve emailed him, which is all I can do because he’s still got until 8 PM (EST) tonight to make his selection. Don / Pittsburgh |

Dispersal Draft / Round 3: make your picks here
replied on: 11/18/2006 10:20:54 PM What do you mean it's over? I never saw any picks after the first 3. I hadn't given a list for this round. Were there any players left on my list from round 2? |

Dispersal Draft / Round 3: make your picks here
replied on: 11/18/2006 10:48:03 PM All of the R3 picks have now been posted. Brad will be emailing the league shortly. The trade freeze is now lifted! Besides the picks shown on the AHL3 page (under Draft Picks Traded), all 30 teams will also have 4th and 5th round picks. Dan (VAN), the reason only three picks were shown (at 6 PM EST on Friday) is because WAS, picking 4th, was next. WAS had until 8 PM EST Saturday to make his pick (he never did make one). There was nothing we could do other than wait. Everyone was informed of that Saturday deadline. To answer your question, none of the players leftover from your R2 list were still available when your R3 turn came. In some cases that was because their respective teams had already lost the maximum of three players. Don / Pittsburgh |

Dispersal Draft / Round 3: make your picks here
replied on: 11/19/2006 12:31:29 AM thanks to don for facilitating the dispersal draft. I may be new but I can see that brad does quite alot of work on the league so its good to see some delegation... the wings are quite content with the results of the draft, although losing pettinger was a bit of unhappy event. Yet you can't keep everyone right ? |

Dispersal Draft / Round 3: make your picks here
replied on: 11/19/2006 12:40:20 AM Washington submitted a list to Brad because I would not be available at the specified time period, so whoever was given the list by Brad iced the puck and held up the draft not me. It completely sucks that I wound up with an idiot like Rasmussen because someone didn't take a player from my list. Thank you. |

Dispersal Draft / Round 3: make your picks here
replied on: 11/20/2006 1:20:28 PM For the record: Although Brad sent me numerous lists, he overlooked Washington’s list. Both Brad and I have apologized to Chris for the oversight. We’re hoping to compensate him, in a manner which he regards as fair, and to which no one would object. We decided not to ‘redo’ R3, concluding that it would have been unfair to the many GM’s who in all likelihood had already begun (a) trade discussions, and (b) preparations for the Entry Draft. To all of you who became frustrated by the long R3 delay, even had the mistake ‘not’ been made with Washington’s list, it would have resulted in just two more picks (WAS and NJD) being posted before the deadline. The team picking 6th, EDM, did not submit a list, therefore the overall situation wouldn’t have changed much. Lessons learned: I can’t speak for Brad, however it’s my feeling that we’ll do better next time, probably by conducting the Dispersal Draft online. Don / Pittsburgh |
