The revisions are mostly modifications in language, to cover situations that arose last season. In addition, there has been one noteworthy change (under Entry Draft): --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- Important Note: During an Entry Draft, the trading of draft picks is prohibited. In advance of the Draft, the commissioner will set a firm deadline for trading picks. Such trades will be processed by normal means (i.e. email confirmations and proper assessment). ‘No’ trades (not even player-for-player) will be processed during the Draft itself. --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- This change resulted from actions that occurred during our last Draft: * GM’s attempted to trade picks they didn’t own. * GM’s attempted to trade ‘future’ picks (prohibited). * After trading picks during the Draft, GM’s were lax in submitting email trade confirmations (in some cases, for two weeks). As a result, the Draft itself—which can be hectic to begin with—was a mess. The aftermath was even worse. Accordingly, the league regretfully concluded that a new rule was clearly necessary.
