More than one bar/tavern?
replied on: 5/12/2003 10:26:14 AM Well, that is why we have Universal Free-Form. You want another bar/tavern, start your own! Shadow's Embrace and Ina have been characters of mine for 3 years now. Its an on-going thing. |

replied on: 5/12/2003 2:30:28 PM And besides, is it common knowledge that she is a Vampyre? I can see her as being the mysterious type without people realizing what she really is. |

replied on: 5/12/2003 2:44:17 PM It is only common knowledge if she tells you, I guess. But humor me here, read the description of how you arrive at the tavern in the first place and what you encounter once there. Not exactly the "Inn of The Last Home" is it? |

replied on: 5/12/2003 9:11:46 PM Ina's true self is never revealed to her patrons. Only her true friends learn that much about her. she's quiet in her ways, but she gives off that feel that she's not quite "right". Maly, I gave it that "out-worldly" feeling to it because it eludes to something more than just a tavern. I'm not sure what you mean exactly though... |

replied on: 5/13/2003 3:34:30 PM All I'm saying is that this place does its best to put your character on edge as soon as they arrive. From the "stale air, vision blurry then gone, passing out and waking up arrival" to the initial step inside where you encounter the "feeling of being watched but cannot see any visible source". Creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky (The Addams Family) I am not trying to disrespect the establishment, mind you. The last thing I or my character wants is an enraged Malkavian Vampyre after our respective jugulars, hehehe. Oh, btw, is this a true freeform in that all rpg's are welcome to mix in this environment? If so, I have a Ventrue that would absolutely LOVE to meet Ina... |

More than one bar/tavern?
replied on: 5/13/2003 8:15:33 PM Well, I made the introduction that way to seem like you can only find the place if the timing is right. Not anyone can find the place. She's not the type to attack those, she has this internal struggle that she doesn't kill for blood. Because of this, she doesn't appear to be a vampire. They way you find the tavern is you have to be in the right place at the right time. If you aren't, you are not going to be able to find it. The mists are a type of protection. Sometimes the mists aren't there, so you can't find the tavern, unless you have other means. Yes, free-form is a mixed environment. That's why its free-form. =) Anything goes. |

replied on: 5/14/2003 9:47:10 AM I have so many characters to choose from...HELP! Heh, the Elven vampire that I mentioned in the Ravenloft post is not the vampire that I had in mind. Trurh be told, I honestly cannot remember that much about the Elven vampire. The other one, however is VERY fresh in my mind, one of my favorite all time characters. He comes from the Vampire: The Masquerade rpg by Whitewolf. A Ventrue, to be exact. |
