| snflwer98 Forum Mistress Quote | Reply | | Thybrock - The Beginning (3E Intro) posted on: 6/4/2003 1:31:07 AM Broken ships, missing cargo and strange weather have been plagueing the coastal cities of Thybrook and Hythrop lately. Something is surely amiss. In the large port city of Thybrook, a rumor has been passed along to many of the peasant folk, something about corrupt pirates and stashed booty. The local guard has sent warning to the King. Meanwhile, the Captain of the Guard has been on the lookout for sturdy adventurers to help recover the missing bounty. Sar'vit and his traveling priests set camp about 20 miles out of Thybrook, making their way to the nearest area to restock. Thybrook and Cylent look to be what they had in mind. Kyrenna Lightfoot, staying at a small inn in Strylic overnight, for the weather is a little too harsh to be camping out alone. Des Feral, seeking out better training, has found himself in the small village of Fridah, where he takes up a room for the night, on his way to the town of Hythrop, where some of the best trainers in Thybrock live. Fylian Johannason spends much of her days in her house, where she has created a Temple to Amberlee. Here she teachs those who wish to learn about the Elf Goddess. |

replied on: 6/4/2003 1:55:25 PM [Begin OoC--] Is this IC? [--End OoC] Sar'vit comes into town, and looks for a sign, something, anything, that would take him to a place he can do some physical labor (that being all he's truly good at, besides swordmaking) so he can earn some cash, and maybe buy some supplies. |

replied on: 6/4/2003 7:48:17 PM Well, Cylent sounds like a good place to spend a few days at least, since it may be on the way to a larger place. Maybe someone there will need a brute of a half-orc? |

replied on: 6/5/2003 6:28:25 AM Kyrenna wakes the following morning and goes downstairs to the common room of the inn to enjoy some breakfast. When she is done, she gathers her belongings, pays what she owes and heads out once more. From what she heard at the inn last night, Thybrook sounds like it might be a rather lucrative place to head next... |

replied on: 6/10/2003 1:36:47 AM Passing some lone cottages along the trail, the sun peaks out behinds the clouds, allowing more travel by its light. Knowing that the only town to rest for the night is at least a day’s journey away, Sar’vit must camp again on the trail. The Innkeeper smiles at Kyrenna as she pays her fees, then gives her a small package, a small meal to hold her over until she reaches the large port city. “May your trail be quick and peaceful.” Walking for miles, she nears her destination, and with nowhere to stay the night, she has to resort to staying close to the trail for her night’s slumber. Making his way to Hythrop, Des Feral passes through Strylic early in the afternoon. The sky is opening and the weather is nice. Nothing seems out of the ordinary as he continues his journey. Noticing some others on the trail, but not many caravans, something seems a little amiss. |

replied on: 6/10/2003 9:04:23 AM Kyrenna goes off from the trail a bit, enough so that she can see the trail without being seen herself, and makes camp for the night. She decides not to make a fire tonight, so as not to draw any unwanted attention to herself, then she checks the surrounding area and sets a few "alarms" in places she thinks an approach on her camp might be made. That task completed, she returns to her campsite and enjoys her meal and then begins to plan her schemes for Thybrook. This is going to be interesting, she thinks to herself... |

replied on: 6/10/2003 11:22:41 AM Sar'vit will make camp with his fellow travelers, telling stories of brave deeds and vicious battles won, eagerly listening to their tales. He duels and battles with an equal, trying to learn more combat styles and tactics, always willing to meet sword with sword in honorable competition. [Begin OoC--]Yes, he is Chaotic, but he believes in honor on the battlefield. However, if an opponent cheats, he is not above resorting to "vile" tactics as well...{End OoC] |

replied on: 6/11/2003 12:06:32 AM Noticing something is inherently wrong, Des Feral goes into a temple, the closest one, knowing when trouble brews, this is where the commonfolk gather. He approaches the highpriest and states "what manner of witchcraft befouls your people?" [OoC--] If he's not actually in Strylic, then he's not going to do anything except make it to the next city, and then do the same thing. [--End OoC] |

replied on: 6/11/2003 12:31:42 AM Again the Priest looks at him strangely, not truly understanding him, "These people gather, just as they do everyday." The Priest scans the room, searching the problem the newcomer seems to notice. "I do not see what it is you are concerned with." Touching his shoulder with athority and grace, the Priest smiles softly, showing his age with his semi-toothless mouth, "There is nothing of concern here. Why do you bring up witchcraft and such?" |
