Question on an Item
replied on: 5/21/2003 9:52:30 PM Throwing stones... Well, it sould have to be small, as the medium stones (more than a few) would be rather cumbersome. I don't see why you necessarily need to buy them, other than having them look cosmetically better (smoothed sides, unform in size and shape), you should be able to just find them. I would say that base increment would be 15ft, 1d4+str mod, with a 20/x2, with each weighing approximately 4 to 6 pounds (bought stones are uniform at 5.5 pounds each and cost 3gp for a bag of 5.) Special: Should you wish to use a special attack using the stones, you would need to take Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Throwing Stones). This attack requires a full round action, and the base increment increases to 20ft, with the damage increasing to 1d8, 20/x3. This is similar to the shotput method of throwing (putting) with more accuracy and more strength put into the throw. |
