Garrick Silvermane replied on: 5/20/2003 4:37:23 PM Even if I did allow a magic item, you would NOT get a Ring of Regeneration (besides which, it doesn't work the way you had it listed... yours is a game breaker) You are right in the assumption "most" adventurers come from outside Ravenloft, but thats too easy, and you'd know automatically things aren't "normal." Not happening. No problem with the skills, per se, but Observation is not from the PHB, and even if it were, I doubt it'd be Intelligence based. I don't mean to come off as a jerk, but there were problems, and I just wanted to bring them to your attention, and tell you. There are reasons food, clothing, and everything else is required... you need them, and, I don't want you starting with too much gold.
