replied on: 11/30/2005 10:18:21 AM You can find listings for used cars in any newspaper in the States. Look ahead for online classifieds to get an idea of what's selling for what price in your start location. You can complete a used car sale, in most areas, in one day. But do know that laws vary from state to state, so be sure to read up on your state of purchase's laws. Also, damage/wreck insurance: in some states, it's mandatory. In some, not. You may have to purchase insurance so you should have all of your driving records handy. |

replied on: 11/30/2005 11:11:05 AM Check out Auto-trader. My dad owns a used-car lot and advertises there. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a car, though you might want to invest in some road-side service in case you have a problem. Also check out Carmax. One of my co-workers bought her mini-van there and raves about the place. |

replied on: 11/30/2005 9:01:43 PM Dunno if it varies by state, but when I first moved down here, I needed a US driver license to buy/register a car. |
