Are you talking about Autum 1903, or what? because the posts Im reading where you're talking about delaying moves/acts of mercy are dated 20/21st of April when I was still either in China or just arrived back in Australia. I said I wouldnt have defininate, sustained access to the internet that would permit me to fully participate in the game until I got reorganised at home, thus I hope Im excused from this 'debacle,' which I wont be, but whatever. It says somewhere before this post "Builds on Monday, Orders Thursday," today is Wednesday, is it not? And the last Thursday been was the 17th of April. Is there something that I missed along the line? You've managed to confuse me - not an exceedingly difficult feat, but you've done it anyway. Wally |

If my moves do not count then I understand." You have jumped to many conclusions in your "fcuk them" "I am the only one who plays by the rules" "don't care about the game, or respect the members and other players" (that's the one that really gets my blood boiling) rant. It seems that the only correct assessment you have made concerns the execution of moves turned in on time. The moves that were in on time should be executed and those that were not should be void. Personally I find it rather dull playing chess with myself. Perhaps your narcissistic tendencies justify a victory no matter how it is achieved. To all the other heads of state, I thank you for allowing me to join your game. In a dark, cold, dimly lit room the only evidence of a creature besides the furtive skittering of a rodent, is the sweet smell of vodka, followed by the sound of a hurried swallow. A few moments of silence... the report of a pistol slighlty muffled by the lips that embrace it ensues. A body slumps in its chair, and the sharp smell of gunpowder fills the cold midnight air. The headline in the following morning's paper proclaims, "Czar Beppo Takes His Own Life." |

Hopefully we can just get back on track and finish this game out those of you that think they are defeated already this game can take many twists. Please reconsider Beppo as your moves where on time and are on this updated map. Raz i did not include yours because they came in on Monday now if you want me to use them for tomorrows turn no problem but in good faith i could not use them this time. Victory would clearly be achieved. It was inevitable and once everyone saw that they decided to take their ball and go home instead of finishing the game. Sad. Gay. 5) I managed to take Russia without firing a single shot. Awesome! |

replied on: 4/23/2008 12:08:13 PM Ok this game has clearly run its course and thank you to all that gave the time and effort it deserved i believe we can all agree that the French-Italian-Turkish juggernaut was victorious here. Im going to close Takt as well and talk to the best players in that game and see if we cant get another one going, but with strict deadlines and shrewd game play. If you receive this invite please take time to think carefully if you can indeed commit the time it will take to play this new Dip game it will not be one for the timid or for people lacking the will power to finish. Again Great games would have been nice to see this one finish completely because in the end there can only be one winner. |
