BTW, are you, or have you ever been, a member of a bike gang, Ariel?

They all seem to be pretty much law-abiding citizens these days, and it's an entirely different bunch of outlaws who runnin' t'ings now.

Well? Is you is or is you ain't?

I'm just trying to ascertain how scared Charlie should be of you.

I am a member of a bike club the AOMCC. Far to old for that gang stuff!

I'll take him, and the rest of you philosophy-spouting fairies. Just give me a time and place.

Surprised that the Pubs in bearwood have not had a mention.

Anyone been into the Bear recently? or even JD's across the road. I really wouldnt recommend it.

I used to go to the Bear on Tuesday nights for the "Tuesday is Bluesday" live blues sessions upstairs. Really nice civilized clientele as I recall. Mind you, this was quite a few years ago, so things could well have changed for the worse since then.
One of the last times I went there I had a drunken encounter with Robert Plant, which I've described under some other heading on this site.

The late lamented Norton or the Navigation would get my vote. Both seemed to be permanently Under New Management but sadly attracted the same old clientele. The former now a burned out shell, the latter a Chinese restaurant.

I wouldn't recommend the Bear - I was waiting to meet a mate in there - I hadn't been there before. A guy was staring at me at the bar, and I knew I was on to a bad thing when he approached me and decided that his opening gambit was going to be

"Are you a man dressed as a woman, or a woman dressed as a man"

....to cut a very short conversation short, this guy ended up quite literally fhasing me round the pub, until I had to leave / run away.

It was realy quite traumatic, although I've just realided that that description of events makes it sound a bit like an episode of Benny Hill.

Old school Tralfagar in Moseley used to be a treat by the way...

Hiya. That would've been me. I'm a big fan of Benny's, but I object to being called a 'guy'. Or is that just because you find it hard to admit to being f u c k e d over by a bird?

Kkhhh. Coz of course if you parade your arse in front of anyone of a homosexual leaning that gives them all the encouragement they need to leap on you and bugger you against your will. This tiresome homophobia really tells us that certain men don't believe they have control over their own sexual urges, if they extend such contempt to their brothers, and that they believe the male urge has the right to take what whatever it wants. Patriarchal bolox.

Kkhhh.

Asking for it, my arse!
