'tis a great place.

Used to have a season ticket down there when I was a nipper. Was always in there with some minor injury following some bike/playground/football (delete as appropriate) injury.

I had the junior season ticket for Dudley Road, and an adolescent/unreliable adult one for Heartlands, and I have to say the latter offers a far superior service. I dub it the Heartfelt hospital.

Dudley road was so decrepit and old fashioned! Maybe it has improved now it's the City Hospital. Maybe it's just got Shitty. Maybe I remember it as old fashioned 'cause it was the olden days when I went there. Mrs Jenkins! Was Dudley road always out of date? I don't know.

23 is a lot. You must be very brave or stupid. !

Yes thank you Rachey for involving me in the latest discussion. Respect for elders is always a fine quality. I know people are going to think, oh I, here comes that bull shitting old woman again, but I did actually used to work at Deadly Road and at Summerfield, the modern bit at the back for the wrinklies. I wasn't one of the medical staff or anything... my job was mainly invloved with pretending to push a mop and bucket around the wards. I think it's safe to say it has indeed always been, well, somewhat out of step with latest health care architectural design. The basement coridor is the best, reputed to be the longest coridor in Europe, I believe it goes under the canal to All Saints. It's pretty creepy down there, especially when you're helping some weirdo porter to push a stiff to the mortuary or something. The staff were all on drugs too. Either that or ex-army lesbians...

..and this is a true story about Heartlands...I once had cause to go there when I lived over Bordesley Green and I sliced me hand open peeling the spuds with a sharp meat knife (silly Vera!) I sat in the casualty department for so long watching all the Kashmiri cocaine dealers being wheeled past with machetties embedded in their skulls, that eventually my own wound healed up by itself and I just got up and walked out. That has got to be about twenty years ago. You know when you were in there this morning ... they didn't call our "Mrs Jenkins" did they? It wouldn't bleedin surprise me!

Ariel...what a nice lad you are. It was very enjoyable thank you. The staff made me a rude cake in the shape of 69. I had no idea that was what it meant until they explained it to me. Oh we did laugh! Charlie dropped his trousers when they put on Miss Dy-Na-Mi-Tee-Hee and Mrs Cooper won the bingo. Miserable sod didn't even buy me a drink on me birthday. The grandchildren came on the night and me daughters did a couple of platters of sandwiches and a log of mint Vienetta. I had a terrible headache though on Thursday morning, I think it was the prawns again, they always react with the ibuprufen.

That reminds me...I'd better change me profile signature hadn't I. All this technology is a bit baffling at my age. I need to find out how to stop all these streaming pop ups advertising pornography too. I've complained to BT but all I could hear was people sniggering in the background.
