How much longer do we have to put up with this gross incompetence before something gets done about it? I'm seriously considering taking matters into my own hands. |

replied on: 1/4/2004 5:14:21 PM Au contraire, Mittonsmate - I'm seriously considering either entering Politics Idol, the show based on Pop Idol which asks the public to vote their favourite contenders into government, or setting up my own party called the Vote of No Confidence Party. If we win, we scrap the political system and start again from scratch. I think we would be very popular. Failing that, I could always set up my own militia and take them out by force. I suppose. |

The contestants have to come in and give a simpering speech to a panel of judges, but manage not to directly answer any questions at all. Who would be nasty Simon is what I want to know. Not as much fun as joining Vladimir Illyich Peakyblinder's Bolshevic Army though. Just imagine storming the gates of the Winter(val) Palace, whilst it is being shelled from a gunboat floating in Gas Street Basin. Then taking Bore and his cronies to a cellar, shooting the lot of them and then burning and burying the bodies in the woods of Sutton Park. |

I suspect our council tax is spent on biscuits, comfy cushions and subsidising the council employees internet porn habits. They're taking us for a ride. It's a disgrace! Although I've noticed rubbish collection has improved of late. |

There isnt much difference between the two. There does seem to be a few more able people in the council mind you . Perhaps send in the management consultants or Lloyds ISO people to the council to 'imaginize' culture change improvements or whatever they usually do. Lets hope not or else we'll no doubt be seeing 'this door opens both ways' signs on all council building doors. The internet porn is factored in to the low wages we are paid. So hands off. Or on. |
