replied on: 3/31/2004 11:33:44 AM I went to school in solihull and have allways thought the place was a pile of shit. the people i know that didnt think like that are all still in solihull working in completely shit boring jobs breeding thier own nasty little culturaly backwards, identical to themselves, inbread, violent, destined for a pedictable life, little kids. i went there a couple of years ago and was very nearly violently sick. i saw the same people hanging arround the same places they did ten years previously, oblivious that there is a world outside of solihull. i think solihull should be raized to the ground, re built, then destroyed again just to show what a completely evil and false place it is. solihull is so lacking in anything real it makes milton keynes look like Mecca. |

replied on: 3/31/2004 11:43:43 AM Why not ensure that Solihull remains 'in' Birmingham? For one thing, it annoys them intensely when they are described as being part of Birmingham.... |

replied on: 3/31/2004 3:26:28 PM Solihull is NOT in Birmingham!!! Only people like Americans think like that... I would be surprised any of us Silhillians would want to be associated with Birmingham... |

replied on: 3/31/2004 4:52:12 PM Well, where exactly is Solihull? It's certainly not in Warwickshire, and looks depressingly urban, so one would imagine it was part of Birmingham...I mean, it's linked to Chelmsley Wood... |

replied on: 3/31/2004 5:17:23 PM I had to go to Solihull last night. The houses all look so similar that I had to ride up and down my mates road untill he comes out and waves at me. |

replied on: 4/1/2004 6:34:19 AM I drink in solihull quite regularly and it's ok,most of the people in the pub though seem to come from sheldon or chelmsley. We tend to do alot of work round the borough and most people just come across as false'nice car in the garden but nothing in the fridge' types. |

replied on: 4/1/2004 11:02:32 AM quote: Me too, Tudor Grange if anyone cares. My mum used to work in a private school in Solihull but hated the place so we moved to Lichfield, after a few years of her commutes getting longer and longer she decided she'd had enough and moved to France. Solihull nearly drove her mad for which I will never forgive the place. My brother decided to live there to be closer to all his shallow mates which in some ways I think is stupid but on the other hand it means I have somewhere in the midlands to crash when I come over (not literally, I can do that more spectacularly in France). |

replied on: 4/2/2004 9:57:03 AM Tudor Grange, green blazer. i had a few mates at that school. i went to st peters just across the field from tudor grange and alderbrook (purple blazers, wierd!) my mum sent me to st peters as she thought it would be a good school. Ha! she was wrong the place was a pile of crap. all mouth and no trousers. they spent millions building a new sixth form but didnt replace the old shit portacabins that the kids in the lower sets had to work in! typical solihul mentality! everything for show purposes but no real substance. the only good thing about solihull is that there is some graffiti at the train station that reads "free nelson mandela" also its only a few minutes on the bus to get out of the souless stink town and back to brum. |

replied on: 6/19/2004 6:34:25 AM The problem solihulls got is its full of modern housing estates, far away from a local newsagent, pub or anything else that requires a car drive. The only thing they can do is wife swapping, and that still requires a bloody car! |

replied on: 9/4/2004 12:09:21 AM i live in solihull, im not gay, and i dont really care whether or not it is classed as part as birmingham or not o.o , itsj ust boarders! I hate hanging round solihull all day though, birmingham is the place to be, tho for some reason its £2.50 on train return or £2.80 day saver on bus (£4 without daysaver)... go figure. Anyways i think you should stop taking the piss out of it, we all know its a small shit place, but it doesnt hurt anyone except the people who will never know wany better, besides its usually full of townies at the weekends, better them there than in brum. |
