Just coincidentally m8e has been bemoaning the conversion of the Stage into some consumerized 'rare groove' kind of hole for the tasteless. Charlie was of course banned and it closed on the 23rd of December. Occult happening? Well as for the 'Brown Lion' you could always try the 'Red Lion' in Warstone Lane which might also could M8e coz Chaz's connections in the Sutton Blues Collective play there every last wed. of the month(amongst others).
