Tunnels Under Birmingham
replied on: 7/16/2007 7:58:38 PM None of the photos work but it sounds like the "Guardian" exchange. Not quite true to say it hasn't been entered in 20 years though, there have been guided tours in the last few years. The equivalent is the Anchor exchange in Brum, many lift shafts and vents still visible at the surface level. My friend went in when he worked for BT. The Mailbox tunnels were open during Architecture Week |
