| Acocks Green Is Not Shit

I think Acocks Green was such a fine place to grow up in I have set my first novel there. Now the novel has been long-listed for the Waverton Best Read Award for the best debut novel of 2007-8. It's called 'Alby And Me' and you can read an excerpt on my website: www.johncbird.co.uk
