It's got to be Northfield as worst, nothing to redeem it, even the charity shops have their souls sucked out (teams of experts sift out the good stuff to sell on ebay before the tat even hits the shelves)

I had a depressing walk through Oldbury today, to collect a parcel from the distant DHL office. Disused M&B pubs line the deserted roads, industrial estates & factories pepper the landscape, amongst pockets of residential areas...and nowhere to cross the fucking road at roundabout after roundabout. One good thing I saw: a sign at a car yard reading "Punctures £5, tyres £10", I could send it in to the Guardian weekend magazine, didn't have my camera and can't face going back so if anyone wants to make an easy tenner...
