I followed the directions that came with the engine, but it does not list a desired RPM range for the idle setting.

High RPM was 10,600 (with a 14 x 8 Prop) - backed down to 10,000 towards the rich side.

The idle speed is around 4700 RPM. Any lower than that an she sputters and dies out.

I just went to an OS F plug. Any suggestions?

Thanks Paul for having me over and tuning the P 51 prior to the fuel tank issue.
