climb prop
replied on: 6/28/2005 7:09:58 AM

I and an instructor went up in my Pietenpol Air Camper. The temp was in the 90s and we were over weight. So on take off we could not climb. We aborted the take off, in doing so we flipped over damaging the plane and breaking the prop. The instructor asked if he could have the prop. A week later I went back to the airport's office. There on the wall was my prop with a clock in the hub. Then I realized what went wrong. I thought I had a climb prop but in truth it was a time prop.
