BTW: I HIGHLY reccomend anyone who is interested in being a true Helper or who just wants to know as much as they can about the world of SWG to create a character for each of the starting professions (especially medic and entertainer) and use them every once and a while. It's a very good grounder for one's prespective on the SWG community as a whole and will definitely give you a good sense of what a person in the chosen profession has to deal with on a day-to-day basis.

Barely made the cutoff for the rebel project dead-eye storyline. Nice faction bonus, but I still can't get sh*t yet. Anyone know a place where I could view the "Tech" items from the rebel faction placeables? I'm 1 disc away from a complete set of my discs as well lol. Haelon Mar on Mos Eisely, Tatooine, Bloodfin if anyone is interested. I alos have an extra Rebel disc 1

Hello everyone

It has been a few months and SWG has very well thus far. Like all MMORPGs it needs a little refinment but that will come with time. The eye candy and skill system will do till then

As for my home in SWG, I play on Ahazi. Great server. Why? Because I have played there since beta lol

I have stuck with my goal of being a medic carbineer. I have 5k more XP till I can revive people and carbineer is a slow slow slow process. Probably because I talk with people more than I fights things

I am mostly on Lok but some how Naboo turned out to be my home. Go figure. Anyways I hope you all get your money's worth.

Take care

Just thought id stop in and see how everyone is doing?

Im sorry to say this, but I cashed out of SWG and sold my 2 accounts on ebay for $750...

What burned me out was the jedi grind... and the fact that pvp became so broken it no longer was fun...

Me and my group of friends master every good profession and had between us over a quarter of a BILLION credits (i myself had 6 suits of stormtrooper armor because i capped out at 60000 points of faction), 5 pa halls, 15 million high quality ore... i think i got as close to beating the game as one can...

but my main joy when i look back, the thing that my heart pains in lose was that I made a schematic for Pre-Patch T21 that with slice and powerup went over 600 points max damage! hehe i created over 70 of those beasts in my factory! hehe the cash value of those was over 10 million credits heh
Oh i wish i could be there to use those when they finally "balanced" pvp so I could go out and lay the smack down! *sheds tear*

ah fond memories... hope everyone else is enjoying the game still...

When was it ever fixed?

Ya the whole game seemed like one big grind, with no story line.

I still have my accounts but haven't logged in in over a month. I might hold out till the space expansion; depends on WoW though. Just about everyone in the guild I was in quit playing SWG. Lesson for DEVs. As hard as it is you have to try and cater to all types of players. Have the massive PvP areas, and have plenty of static content and dungeons for those that don't PvP.

SWG would have probably been more successful if they would have delayed released until after Player cities were ready. I know most people from my guild quit before then. Also more dependencies on the GCW, and combat class balance sooner would have helped kept those that prefer PvP.

Oh well hind sight is always 20/20.

I tried beta for Lineage 2 but it felt like EQ on crack to me. Seems to be a ton of EQ wannabes being released lately.

Still looking for a massive pvp replacement for DAoC.

It's fascinating to look back at these boards now. I was caught up in the SWG hoopla soon after the game was first announced, following what was going on on the official boards but mainly relying on BBS for the inside story. Having never played an MMORPG before, this was going to be the one for me.

Then I participated in Beta 3.

It was new and different and really interesting at first. Sure little creatures kept killing me and I didn't have many credits, but I could walk around Tatooine and see jawas and so on.

But it wasn't much fun. There was something for everyone but nothing for me, the casual gamer with an interest in Star Wars.

So I didn't sign up for the main game. I watched as people began playing and the first week of disaster with a steady increase in the player base.

Now it seems that the gloss has worn off the game. The promised Space Expansion is the new hope, and a 14 day free trial might get things moving, although only in the short term.

I've since played in the Lineage II beta - that was fun - and am enjoying my first MMORPG that I'll be paying for, City of Heroes. There's no PvP, no crafting and the concept is very simple. But it's a hell of a lot of fun which puts it ahead of SWG.

Hope everyone is enjoying their SWG experience and I'm surprised this board has been so quiet of late. It used to be much noisier.

1. Account 1: Captain SicaXol, Sunrunner. Twi'lek with 4 Lekku. ..it's a fun little game bug heheh.... Some Pistoleer. Some Smuggler. Bit of creature handler.

Leader of Xplooors Outpost.

Weaponry: Highly customize, sliced, and more customized DL Blaster with scope. Looks cooler than it performs LOL!

2. Account 2: Sica Xol. Wanderhome. Mon Calamari. Master Miner. Some Doctor. Some Muscian. Might turn to Combat Medic. Will always keep Master Miner profession - loads of FUN!

Weaponry: Absolutly NONE! Seeing if SWG is playble with 100% no weapons, without having to engage in any fighting whatsoever.
