If you can't answer it I understand. I just have not found anything definitive on it. I thought I recall them saying we would have the choice in the game. Anyway if you can help I would appreciate it. Thx Keaggan, Rogue Jedi Knight Project NeXus |

replied on: 2/14/2003 1:34:11 AM Its my understanding that in normal player talk the words pop up over ones head, like in UO but with a little bubble box like a cartoon instead of UO's floating words... Its not like AC2 where it all gets sent to a chat box. but chat channels will function as "catches" for messages. |

Re: Re: Re: Blade...Beta question
replied on: 2/14/2003 3:47:05 PM the answer is both. There is a chat window as well as a text bubble for spatial chatting. You can use one or the other, or both at the same time. Lots of customizations with each type too. The difference is that the chat window provides other forms of communication as well, but the bubbles are for spatial (local and verbalized) discussions only. |

replied on: 2/27/2003 2:40:41 PM I have another small inquiry. Do Twi'lek tails (lukdues SP?) change positions at the player's will. I do not mean do they move while talking but can you change how they lay on your avatar's body? And also can you put anything on them like straps or rings? Again if you can't answer I understand. Thanks in advance Keaggan, Rogue Jedi Knight [keaggan.tripod.com]Project NeXus |

Re: Re: Re: Blade...Beta question
replied on: 2/27/2003 5:53:30 PM lekku :-) I'm not in beta, but I would imagine that putting a ring into the lekku would be dangerous, seeing as a Twi'lek's brain is in the lekku as well as in his skull area (see Darkhorse comics for reference). Of course, it might be possible, since the brain area does not dominate the area that makes up the "tails", so there may be space to drive a ring through there. lol. But, doing so might interefere with the headtail communication (for which I forgot the name) to the same degree that a toungue or lip ring interferes with RL speech, which is very little as per my observation. I terms of SWG I have no idea if it is possible, just my speculations. Good question, though! :-) |

replied on: 3/2/2003 3:31:34 PM ::came to a conclusion:: As for the second part I ment not piercing the tails but could we add ring or braclets around them not through them. Of course the idea of treating lekkus like hairstyles does give me the feeling that we can do many things to them...very cool Keaggan, Rogue Jedi Knight |

replied on: 3/3/2003 9:34:53 AM just remember that you can't change your hairstyle on the fly--you have to have someone with image designer skills to do that. |

replied on: 3/3/2003 1:48:33 PM What I ment was I have seen lekkus with different color paterns on them. And since lekkus will be treated like hair and we will have many options at character creation time. Very cool I also understand when I am ready for a change I will need to find an Image Designer Keaggan, Rogue Jedi Knight |

replied on: 3/18/2003 2:58:20 AM FYI Followup: I am to chapter 3 in Tales From Jabba's Palace (the Oola story) and yes they are spelled "lekku" in the plural form, but get this, there is a passage where the narrator, author Kathy Tyers, says "...a [hand] grabbed [Oola's] sensitive left lek from behind..." lol, "lek". I never would have guessed. oh well, carry on all. :-) |
