Hell Ya! SWG needs someone to be committed to the Dark Side of the Force.

The main secret I would like to know, is how do become a Dark Jedi?

Obviously, you have to become force sensitive first. Then do you have to become a light Jedi, then fall to the Dark Side, or after you are force sensitive can you choose to follow the Dark path?

I would imagine those who choose the dark path would be able to do so from the start since it really all comes down to a state of mind centred around power, anger and suffering.

Jedi who want to be Jedi are warned of the dangers of Sith teachings, but it's not like Sidious ever told Maul that he had to first get xp in force jump and blaster deflection before he could go around hunting "helpless peasant"s to get his alignment to go dark lol, so I hope that's not how the game works.

A nice skilltree with slots for diff abilities (most of them should not say what they are) that padawans unlock by literally using their "force" ability in different situations would work best, I think. As one's aptitude's grew, info on each slot work slowly reveal itself.

IMHO

you will not be able to be a dark lord even if you do become a force sensitive user because during that time "always 2 there are" but i wonder if you became good enough that you could take over Vader's spot. hmmmmm....I wonder

Eh, you'd never be able to take over Vader's spot, period. But you can become a "dark jedi" and get powerful enough to warrent Vader's attention. Whether he'll hold out his hand or just shove his lightsaber into your gut is another subject all together.

the devs definitely do not want to be stepping on the toes of the SW chronology. So no Vader replacements! Come on, would the devs really go there and let you take out a Sith lord? lol

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

I think it would be cool to be a Jedi. I just hope that not only the hard core players who are loged 50+ hours a week can do it. I wouldn't mind if it took longer, as long as us casual gamers could do it. It would be so Badass to see a wookie just pull a lightsaber out of his fur and say "Rooar!". =)

Yes indeedy.

Infact, I hope to use my Jedi Mind tricks to convince the Developers to implement all my proposed changes....

quote:
6.17 How do Jedi work?

Your main character does not become a Jedi. Rather, the actions of your main character can unlock an additional character slot which is Force-sensitive. Characters created in this additional slot can then advance through the Jedi skills as well as any of the other skills in the game. Each player account allows for only one potential Jedi slot and the mysterious method to unlock it won't be the same for every player.

Does this mean that you get an additional char slot on the server you are already on or one of your other server slots becomes a force sensitive?

BTW Dark Jedi is not the same thing as Sith Lord. But us creative Role Players can come up with a seperate sith society, one of an ancient order.
