I am going to try to set it up, so that you can do different kinds of listings and give you a few more options at the same time. One of those will be a Delete Membership option, so that you can delete that member and all of thier posts from your society in one click. I will try to add other things as well if I can. In the mean time, I have already changed the current member listing. It no longer shows the * for moderator status. I changed that to [M] and added a new one [O] for Owner. The Members with Deleted Posts list has changed, it will now only display members who have only deleted posts, and no live posts on your society. The reason of that is because once you delete a message, it doesn't really get deleted. It goes into a different stats where only the society owner, and moderators of that forum can see that topic. In the future I plan on updating the way deleted posts works. How yet, I don't know. But we need to start cleaning up those posts because our database has grown to large and now we are starting to get charged double the price of our hosting because of that, and mail. So in the future posts that has a status of deleted, and is over 30 days old will be deleted from the server. If anyone would like to volunteer thier society to be cleaned up now, just let me know. I can do that at any time. The problems we are facing right now, is that our stats for members, are live stats. So once those get deleted, it could affect thier contributed numbers (I am guessing on this, still looking into it). If you have any concerns, or comments, please let me know now. |

replied on: 7/7/2003 2:26:56 PM Wouldn't it be better if you got rid of the displaying of Live posts on profiles and in threads? It bothers alot of people. You could still use them for the various systems in the society control panel and other places though. Just a suggestion. |

replied on: 7/13/2003 11:20:02 PM ooh..and a suggestion. instead of making a societies popularity by live posts, make it by total posts, then some of us might be willing to delete things lol...as it stands, we're all saving every thread and post in order to attain that coveted popular list. |
