strange formatting things happening on our society
posted on: 11/18/2003 3:12:28 PM

Part of the header on our society has started compessing in a strange way! I'm referring specifically to the box area near the top, just under our banner - the place where "New Topic" and "New Poll" are found on the left side, and all the society options (Control Panel, etc.) are on the left. On lots (not all) of the forums, this box has squished down into a thick line, with all the options squeezed down as well. I have not made any changes on the society in days - what could be causing this?

Very strange! It's just started looking screwy like this in Opera today, but I just checked it in IE and it looks fine. I guess not many people use Opera so it probably doesn't make any diference that it looks strange with that browser, but I wonder why it's all of a sudden doing this?

It sounds like the format's been screwy for several posters for a day or two now, although in a different way from what I'm seeing:

Poster 1: They thread boxes are bumped waaaay to the right. Downright unpleasant. Netscape 7 OS 9.2

Poster 2: I was having exactly the same problem that Wendles reported using the same programs. Mac OS 9.2 Netscape 7

Poster 3: thanks! Have basically just stayed away the past few days as it was so darn annoying having to scroll back and forth, back and forth to read a post. Thought it was just me.

Poster 2: Definitely not just you. I quit posting last night because I couldn't hack the side to side scrolling either.

Here's the original thread

Has something changed on the site in the past day or two?

I noticed on my society, that in the box above the Who Is Online box, the dividers between links and the society name are missing...

Dann, we're still having trouble on our site. Can I email you some screen shots to show you what's happening?

Thanks very much, Dann! It looks good for me. I'm querying the other posters to make sure they're not still having any problems.
