you know how sometimes you want a sticky to be stickier than the others? Why not implement a super sticky where we could pin threads above other threads. I'm sure this has been suggested, but I did't see it in the to do list.

If I remember correctly, if you want a topic to be at the top of the list, just bump it.

or topics to not be bumped over it.

there's plenty of reasons to be able to keep stickies above other ones...like I like closed policy threads to be at the top...but with other stickies in play, this isn't possible.

how about announcements?

I am thinking that it would work like this.

You go to post a message, but only a moderator/owner can choose to have it listed as an announcement.

Now they will be listed by date as well, but we could have a link on that message that a moderator could use to bump it above the other announcements.

yes...this is acceptable. and very much along the lines of what I would use such a function for.

yea im with that idea also... i know what you mean. i think thats a pretty good idea.
