Like the one you see at the end of all my posts. To create your own custom signature is fairly simple. Once you have registered goto your control panel. You'll see the link on the top tool bar of the message board. Once there, click on the link "modify profile" Scroll down to the area that says Signature. You can now begin adding your Custom Signature in the box provided. If you want a image to show like mine does, you need to type in the html coding in the box. If you follow these steps it should be fairly simple. Make sure you have the image uploaded to a hosting site that allows linking. (I use Homestead cause they allow linking, plus it's a good site) OK I will show you each tag you'll need, along with what that tag does, that way you have a better understanding of what your doing, then we'll put it all together. Center= <center> centering text or img. Add image= <img src=image.addy.here> will display your image. Line break= <br> will start a new line i.e one line over another. Italics= <i> Text will be italicized. Font size= <font size=1> sizes your font. Font color= <font color=red> makes your font to be red. Close tags= </center></font></i> to close tags means to end that command but frankly we wont need to close tags for the signature. OK now this is what the string will look like. <center><img src="http://jaflora.homestead.com/files/gifs/echopp_29.gif" /><br /><i><font size="2" color="#8B7783">"It is very easy to overestimate<br>the importance of our own achievements<br>in comparison with what we owe others."</font></i></center> Thats it! My signature that you see is the result, well except I didn't center my image and text. |
