1. "Log out" I think it speaks for itself but just incase. Just as you would log onto the board you can "Log Out" as well. But for the record, most people keep their names logged in. Saves them time from having to type in their user name and password everytime they come to the boards.


2. "My Profile" This is your profile that others can goto if they wish to know a lil about you or send you a private message and they can find links to your most recent posts. These are to name just a few things "My Profile" does.


3. "My Societies" This link is where your message board is born. Just click on it and you'll be on your way.


4. "MailBox" If someone has sent you a private message, clicking on your mailbox will take you to your personal mailbox. There you can check, return or send messages to other members of the chatarea boards.


5. "Modify Profile" Clicking on this will open up your profile so you can edit the information others will see when they look at your profile.


6. "Elite Profile" Registering for ChatArea is free but by becoming a Elite Member of the board, you get perks and special options for you contribution and support of the board. The Elite Profile is one of the perks. An Elite Member can go here to make a different profile that stands out. By using CSS the things you can do seem limitless.


7. "Manage Avatar" By click on this, takes you to where you can upload the picture to the ChatArea board. (note: remember there is a size limit of 40,000 bytes).


8. "Manage Favorites" This neat lil feature makes it possible for you to save your favorite message boards that you visit alot.


9. "Manage Emoticons" Clicking on this take you to where you can add emtoicons for your members to use. This adds attitude and some personality to a post. Remember registered members only are able to upload 3 and a elite member is limitless.


Ok lets move on to what is next on your main "Control Panel" Looking directly below the tool bar and to the left, you will see Your Imformation that you provided to the boards when you registered. By looking over the Profile here you will be able to see what changes you might want to make.

To the right of your information is the link you would need to click on if you want to sign up tp be an "Elite Member"

Now for the bottom of the page. To the far left of your screen, you will see "Favorites" with a list of links of any favorite you have added below it. In the middle is links to any recent message board you have visited within ChatArea.
And last but not least, to the far right is links to ChatArea news. There you can find helpful news about updates, about what is going on with the board and what is in the works. Just look for the "ChatArea News" section on the lower right side of your control panel.
