I'm not sure if you want to Dann, or if its even a possibility...

But, if you've noticed, A lot of forums on here have a site, or something, that pertain to them... So i was thinking... MAYBE!

You could create an XML RSS Feed that displays the latest forum topics... And the user can just put the forum id into the iframe and display it anywhere they want...

I realize this may be a bandwidth issue... So its just a suggestion.

I will keep that open as a suggestion for the moment. But the problem with that is it is a bandwidth issue, so until I move to our new servers there is no way it can be done.

I don't even know if by then it can be done because everything will be on one server, and it might bog down the servers.

As you can see Gamers Wanted is already doing that now, but there is a big difference with that, it's reading from a static xml file and not hitting the database, so it's cached. But I can play around with it some and we can see what we can come up with after we move to the new server.

Of course you know after I move, there will be lots of changes to both sites in the future, I will now have full control over the database, so now I really see what's going on, what's taking up most of the process, which will help me make the site better for everyone.

Here is a good one that i`ve been trying to get to work. Using a BASE HREF=" tag, so that people using the eXtra smilies (I added) would just have to type/paste the image-name itself - (blackeye.gif) instead of pasting the whole link (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/LordOfAnger/blackeye.gif)...But when i tried to use it it refreshed to the photobucket page and wouldn`t let me view a topic/forum. Weird... Anybody know how to get this to work?

sounds like something to further alienate the intelligent people who use alternative browsers...pretty sure Netscape/Mozilla, konquerer and Opera can't use i-frames

I know Opera allows i-frames. Not sure about the other browsers though.
