I have tried many things to try to promote my forum, but I only have one member other than myself, and I know him personally. I have tried posting in society showoff. I have tried putting it in search engines. I have gone to other forums and posted. Most of you have pretty successful forums.. Questions: 1) What am I doing wrong? 2) What can I do to gain publicity for my forum and help people know about it? I would also like to state before you reply, that I am not willing to spend any money advertising or upgrading, (or on anything else for that matter...). Thanx for helping in advance, Mr. Shadowfax |

replied on: 11/24/2004 7:36:16 PM publicity is something we all have to fight for... i know, i've been doing it for years now... you're best bet would be to make some banners and advertise on other peoples sites, do a banner swap or something.. keep in mind, most people like the eye candy, so make it nice... (especially the forum/site) |

replied on: 11/25/2004 7:00:20 AM My favourite link: Why you shouldn't submit your site to search engines. A note on what Kwama King said, if you want make it look good, don't go overboard on special effects. If it's slow loading, you'll put off a lot of potential visitors. |
