| not a bug, but a concern., posted on: 3/31/2005 12:27:32 PM Unfortunately,
I am perhaps just one concerned chat area viewer.
I am concerned with a few societies that a lot real time posts that henge on the verge of slander within regards to a person’s real life.
I am not an attorney, so therefore I do not know specifics in law’s however I do know that the freedom of speech doesn’t gnostically mean without being held libel for your gross misuse of an internet based service.
I would cation you to the moderators of such societies in chat area,
I am but one of the many that find it atrocious to read a board that has a rather bold depiction of someone’s real-time information...

Under United States federal law (47 U.S.C. ?230), service providers are not liable for content posted to their services by third parties.
With that in mind, it is up to the moderators of each society that must take care of their society.
I would suggest that you talk to the moderator of that society and tell THEM how you feel. If you don't know who that is, then you can goto the front page of the soceity, and scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is a link called something like "contact admin".
