in order to post a picture, do you have to be a member of the elite?

I am also new here and first can I say that this is a great place for setting up chat forums, I wish I'd found you all a long time ago

I've read the help files and found them very useful. However, I am unable to get the HTML codes to work. I can't get an image to be recognised or bolding text - nothing at all

I've looked through the help files and even pasted an example into a message. But all I get is the code on either side of my text.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Yep it's worked here. Should you be able to do this for footers and header on forums?

For your forum headers and footers you need to use regular HTML.

In case you don't know, the regular HTML for things like that is:

Bold: <b>Text goes here</b>
Italics: <i>Text goes here</i>
Underline: <u>Text goes here</u>
Strikethrough: <s>Text goes here</s>
Image: <img src="URL of Image" />
Link: <a href="URL">Link Text goes here</a>

Thanks for this info I'm not familiar with HTML at all so this was really useful.
