| -Mhoram- Quote | Reply | | Questions with creating new society and forums posted on: 6/18/2006 11:32:23 AM I'm trying to set up a new society and create a forum for it and am running into various problems.... The first of my questions is that I'm unable to see the forum that I'm creating/working with unless I turn ~off~ the "Maintenance" checkbox at the bottom of the customize screen...in other words, the feature that would normally hide my society from being viewed while I'm working on it. I don't understand why I have to do this, as I am already logged into chatarea.com as well as my society, and am listed as its Owner? I do notice, however, (which brings me to a second question) that under the Stats area of the page, I'm showing up as a "guest" rather than as a member...and don't understand why this is either, because..again..I am signed in to both chatarea and my society at the time??? What am I missing here?? Last question (for now, anyway), is why the "New" indicator is showing up to the left of each of my forum groupings when there are no new messages to be viewed in them? Is there a way to prevent this from showing up unless there are new messages to be viewed? Thanks for any help |
