| VGC Quote | Reply | | Banning posted on: 8/19/2006 3:29:52 PM Why is it that with the VoodooGorCentral board, when someone is banned by IP and email, they manage to come back onto it and post when on other boards they seem to stay banned and they can't post. Are we missing something here? Or doing something wrong? |

replied on: 8/22/2006 11:31:43 AM Its not uncommon for someone with some pc knowledge to be able to mask/hide their IP in order to get around bans etc. It's also not uncommon for even those on cable etc to change their IP etc via a simple phone call to their ISP... the best form of banning is to ban by pc ... going by hash codes... other forms of bans are usually very easy to get around, by even the simple minded of people with limited tech knowledge. |
