replied on: 9/9/2002 12:49:30 PM Hi JC. I agree with lawizard with the respect that people find music on the site annoying. Most times when I am browsing sites I am already listening to music and it annoys me when people have music embedded into their webpages. So I would advise against putting music on it anyways. also, putting music on a webpage can be a pain in the butt sometimes. you have to do it right or it wont work, and also different browsers will see the sound tag (like netscape) and either ignore it so it wont play, or it will list it as an error...which in the case that if it was ignored it was useless to have it in there anyways cuse the visitor cant hear it, or in the case that it came up with an error, it may annoy the visitor. Also another con of adding sounds/music to the webpage is that it may (note: not always) drive down the number of hits due to people not revisiting and not passing on the link. You can have an absolutly great site but not have the hits becasue of that con. But that is up to you to decide. JW's World Admin-- J.W. |
