replied on: 12/4/2004 10:38:34 AM Well I just answered Pat's email. Her problem could be a couple of things. 1) It could be the name's she is using. I have seen others have problems when they use a space in the name, or a comma or period. 2) You have to know the difference of the problem. From her email, what I under stand is that you have 1 or more forums that is password protected. Which is different from thier login name and password. |

I just found out that 3 other people have been having the same problem. If they type in the wrong password a couple times does it automatically lock them out? I didn't think it did but thought I'd ask anyway. Tina |

replied on: 11/30/2004 4:26:24 PM I tried to e-mail all this to you but you must not have got it or just to busy, so here it is again. This is what she e-mailed me- "I can read the posts Tina, I just can't post. I can put the password in and it goes to the main page with the subjects. I can click on anyone of them and read the posts but when I go to post it comes up telling me that I need to be registered. Then when I go to register it sends a conformation number and I put it in and the page that says that its not available comes up. Hope this helps you some." This is from another e-mail "Every time I put my user name in and ask for my password even though I know what it is it always says that they couldn't fine a global user with that name. I first started out with maamapat, then I re-registered and had a user name of Pat T. Madison Wisconsin. It keeps telling me that it never existed at all." This is all terribly confusing to me, I'm not sure what questions to ask her to get the response you need to help us fix this. I decided to e-mail you because we were going to include the passwords with this, didn't know if it mattered or not since they are not working anyway. Thanks for any help you can offer. |

I do believe she signed up again, thinking that maybe she forgot her password and that was the problem. Obviously it wasn't! I do appreciate your time. Thanks |

replied on: 11/25/2004 4:24:37 PM I don't understand the problem really. You tell me that she has posted many times, but then you mention the confirmation number. If she has been posting, then she doesn't need to do anything with the confirmation number anymore. If she can't post, then I will need to know exactly step by step what she is doing, and the problem that it gives here in the end. |

replied on: 11/25/2004 7:56:24 AM Here's the problem. I have a lady who comes to the chatarea that I set up, she can read the post but when she goes to respond it wont let her. I asked her to post the problem to you here, and it wont let her do that. She has posted there tons of times, why all of a sudden did it stop her from posting? This is what she told me "When I get my conformation number to put in to register and I hit enter it goes to a page that says The page cannot be displayed. There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed. Scroll down and click where it tells you to click". I surely would appreciate any help you can offer. Like I said this just happened, she had posted many many times. She thought that maybe she was putting in the wrong password, so she tried to sign up again, no luck though  . Please, help us. Thank you! |
