Disable Copy and Paste function

Yes I didn't even think of that. You could do that to keep the masses from taking your images. But not the people that you give access to.

Disable Copy and Paste function

As a Paintshop Pro user I can easly cut an image or text (in image form) with the camera tool whether right click is diabled or not. Not that I do...but I could. A no right click script would slow me down, but just for a second. Password protecting your forums that have images you want to keep safe, seems like the best option.
Good luck, Heidi

Good luck, I also forgot that people can drag and drop images as well.

Thanks for your help. I'll try it anyway and see what happens. Even though it wouldn't solve the problem 100%...at least it is a start.

Disable Copy and Paste function

If you own the society then you can add that code to your sight. Search google for the following:
javascript disable right click
Here is the url to the first one the came up http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noright.htm
But let me save you some time. This functionality DOES NOT WORK and is a waste of time trying to do it.
If someone wants your picture on the net they are going to get it, because there is no 100% way to prevent them from doing it. I know because I have tried to implement this else where and there is no way to keep someone from doing it. The right click thing only keeps the "uninformed" or "to lazy to try" people from taking your image.
I hope that helps, and good luck.

You know how you can right click and save picture or copy something and paste it somewhere else? That is what I am talking about. On some other boards I've visited, if you wanted to right click and copy something, say to save it to your hard drive, when you do it you get a message saying that the function is disabled. This way your stuff is kind of protected from being shared with other people you don't want to share it with. Did I explain that clearly? LOL. I know it is confusing a bit and I don't mean it to be.

I am not sure what you mean, can you try to give me a description on how to reproduce what you don't want to be done?

Is there a way to disable the copy and paste function, so that whatever is on a chatarea thread cannot be copied?
