I don't have a setting to have them turned on and off. To have the advertising turned off for your society, you need to sign up for a High Society.

If it's in the header or footer of your society, or in your signature then use regular html. If your trying to post an image when you post a message, there is a html help file next to the message box, click on that which will give you the codes we use.
