replied on: 12/1/2003 4:08:38 PM Both of my kids would do that if I let them. I force them to eat meals and if they want to eats snacks outside of meals it's allowed. However if they aren't able to eat their meals because of snacking, things get really ugly. |

My son seems to be aware of both exercise and nutrition. Probably from my influence. My daughter's just starting to excercise now, because she isn't happy that junk food is making her fat. |

replied on: 12/5/2003 8:10:47 AM If I did start having health problems it would be my own fault, so I'd just put up with them. My mum isn't too bothered, my Dad seems to care about it, but we don't talk about food and all that much, so. quote: Why does that fail to surprise me?

replied on: 12/5/2003 10:05:39 AM You mean the part about her not being happy with her appearance? There must be something built into women that makes us this way. I was probably about 13 when I started thinking I was fat. I didn't eat as unhealthy as she does though. So I didn't feel the need to do anything about it. I've been really careful not to say anything to here about it though. In fact, I've discouraged her when she complains about it, but my opinion doesn't count for much. I guess it's something she's going to have to work out for herself. |

replied on: 12/5/2003 11:35:05 AM I don't think it does for me, but maybe it does for some women. Personally, I have a tendency to feel guilty about things and if I build up too much bodyfat, I feel guilty for not taking good care of my body. |

replied on: 12/14/2003 12:43:08 PM No I don't mind. It's based more on appearance than measurement. It will start with my thighs and ass jiggling more than usual. If I ignore that for too long, I'll get enough fat to pinch over my ribs and the last stage is my breasts getting bigger. I hope that wasn't too graphic for you. |
