| BLauritson Overlord of the Sky Overlord of the Sky Grandmaster | England posted on: 10/12/2003 3:14:08 PM Safe to say, I don't like it much. 17.5% tax rate, generally expensive country, shitty public transport, the free health care is falling apart due to lack of government funding, shitty prime minister who's more interested in other countries than this one, a powerless monarch that does nothing but sit on her ass all day, shite weather, a paradise for illegal immigrants, who are given higher priority to british services than a native british citizen, and those are just a few of the things that are wrong with this country! Don't get me wrong, it's not all bad, but there's definately a lot worse than good. |

I want to say that we have more independence than other places and free enterprise, but that isn't fundamentally true. The extra personal freedoms that we have had in the past has allowed nuts like the militia to prosper and medical insurance companies to dictate what treatment will be provided in the name of cost effectiveness. Even with the personal freedoms that we do have, we still need food and shelter. Those needs drive us into jobs that might not be in our best interest. I'm going to stop before I make myself depressed. On the positive side, I know for sure what it feels like to be sad but not depressed. |
