Wouldn't it be nice to get about 200 of them to one event? Do you think that they could take one Saturday in September and stop by to say hello at Shore Thing 6. It maybe the last one run if the numbers don't come out good. The staff puts in a lot of time and effort to organize this event in hopes of making it one of the better ones put on by the PT crews. I realize everyone can not make every event put: on especially with the soaring price of gasoline, and other commitments they may have with school events just beginning. WE have 5 months to put away 20 or 30 dollars a month (1 dollar a day) to help pay for gas and a room if your staying over. Please give it a thought, most of us can drive there in 2 to 3 hours if it has to be a day trip..I am looking forward to seeing some of our lost friends....Where are UUUUUU??? |

replied on: 4/24/2006 7:14:15 PM Excellent points made Nipper! Hmm, 340 members would make us New Jersey's Largest PT Cruiser Club? And we typically schedule 10 or more events a season so that would make us the most active as well. |

replied on: 4/25/2006 11:23:05 AM Thanks Gary, Barbara and I did that when we traveled to FLA. also. We tagged anything (PT) that wasn't moving..We even met a lady that had a friend from Sea Brighjt. But like I said if half the listed area members show from the PA.. N.Y., Del., and our own N.J. states it would be great. Good Hunting... |

replied on: 4/25/2006 9:56:29 PM Nip I'm not trying to be negative but there are a lot of variables when it comes to people going to PT Shows. Who may have a prior commitment ( Wedding, an affair, etc) Who has to decide on what PT Shows they will do for the season if they could only budget on a few shows. Now with the price of gas skyrocketing, that will put a damper on the amount of participants going to PT Shows especially PT's coming from a distance. It's great that Gary will drop flyers in Fla, but what are the chances of getting a bunch of PT's from that far away! Like you said, we have to count on PT'ers from the surrounding states to make up the bulk of our participants. I know for a fact that we will be getting a few people to Shorething6 that have never been there before from the L. I. area. That's because they have heard how smooth & well Shorething has ran for the precending years and are tired of the BS from other shows, and they want a change of pace. Plus it is still early for registrations, we still have a long way to go till the end of Sept. |
