My convertible is all cleaned up and ready to go. Plus, the event is on my 45th birthday. Unfortunately, it looks like rain will be in the air. Oh well.

** NOTE **

Because of the weather (it's been pouring across the area all morning) we're going to cancel our participation in this event.

Apologies for the short notice -- but with this much rain they likely wouldn't let us parade on the field anyway.

Youse guys may want to reconsider. It hasn't rained in Bridgewater since this morning, all the roads are dry and the field has fantastic drainage. Right now, everything is on at the park. Of course, a stray thundershower may change everything.

Bob (and everybody), I am down here in Toms River at work during the week with no internet access during the day. I have to depend on the weather forcasts and current weather. We have been having thunderstorms, lightning, local road flooding and power outages most of the afternoon. When I got home, our power ad been out for over an hour and I waited another 1.5 hours before it came back on.

I did call someone in Bridgewater this morning and they said it was not raining..yet. The weather was calling for a 60% chance of rain through 6pm.

Unfortunately, weather is unpredictable and can change from bad to good in minutes. Of course, if they get a thunderstorm before the game, they might run the game but the parade around the field would probably be cancelled like it has been in the past.

I did not think that the weather down here (which I would have to drive through) and the possibility of a rain cancellation, warranted me doing the 70+ mile drive up there.

I guess we can plan for many things, but not the weather.

Hey Gang!

We decided to ignore the weather forecast and just go for the baseball game. We got there, found a small group of cars and no rain yet. At about 6:30 they had us tour the warning track. We were introduced individually and appeared on the big screen. The minute we pulled off the track, the rain started. Lasted about 15 minutes and then was gone. They uncovered the field and starting playing ball at 7:20. The Patriots couldn't hold onto their slim lead and lost 5-2 in ten innings.

Here are the few pictures I took: Patriot Baseball
