replied on: 9/23/2007 10:15:28 PM To all who attended Shore Thing 7, I am truly sorry about the weather. Even Saturday morning the forecast had no hint of rain, just early morning fog, with sunshine later in the day. At 11:30 it started raining. So I guess it's my fault you got rain during the event. I now know that a weather forecast before an event is a BAD thing! If it make you feel any better I got soot all over my car Saturday night, BIG CHUNKY SOOT that stuck to the car because of the dew, so I had wash and wax it today! |

replied on: 9/24/2007 8:00:29 AM Into each life a little RAIN must fall and it seems that Shore Thing has a history of making sure it happens.. Out of the 7 Shore Thing events that I have attended, it has RAINED on 5 of them. We were trying to remember exactly how many were swamped with that wet stuff and came up with 1 really bad one and I believe it was # 2. After setting everything up at 7 PRESIENTS Park they decided to go back to the motel. Still poured but the wind was blocked out...but all in all it wasn't a bad day this year, we did the parade out to the hook and the dinner was completed (couple little glitches that SANDY took care of) and Saturday nite went well with our new introduction process. I am glad that we were able to get to meet our new friends from Cal. (and maybe even try a EAST Goes WEST Tour in the near future)....Thanks to every one who came out to celebrate our #7...Happy Cruising.... |
