THANKS Nipper, and for those new to the parade staging area, it is on St, Georges Ave right off Amboy Ave. Here's a map.

The star is on Amboy Ave and the staging area is just to the right of the star. The street is not named, but ST Georges Ave starts at the fork in the road by the star..

Will there be time to decorate the cars or do we need to do so before we arrive?

Sorry guys but Sunday's parade is in conflict with our daughter's Elissa's Birthday Party, so Laura and I won't be able to make it this year! Have already ordered the Hero's !!
Why did they make the parade so early this year?

The Belmar, NJ (State's largest St.Patrick's Parade) was last weekend! Don't know who schedules these things but they do have to stagger them to get the bands and bag pipers to attend.

We are sorry you won't be there this year Joey, who is going to lead us?

Joey, the parade is always the week before. John hit the nail on the head, to get all the groups u want the parades ;have to be staggard(SP). So here is the DOPE on the parade. Candy throwing allowed, if kids get toooo close to the car stop until u are out of their range. Hold down the horns during the parade incase emergency vehicles need to get out (pertains mostly to fire engine horns but oohga's were mentioned). the judging area is going to be half way down Main Street, not at the municiple bldg,,thats 1 block before the RR bridge on main street...Ray has us eating at Charlie Browns in Metuchen/Edison by ST Joseph high School...so if u plan on dinning with us e-mail Ray so he can get a head count or go on the NJ cruiser web site to let him know.Lease allow yourself enough time to get there safely, the parade organizers want us there by 1pm, but leave yourself time to decorate your car..hope to see a great turn out,we need to defend our 7 year trophy run.....( they were calling it the PT CRUISER award the last 2 years)

That's because they don't have their permits yet. When That happens I hope they don't mind driving Louise's cruiser.

Seriously, it s hard to believe they are 16 already. That picture you showed was shocking. They are like little adults already. Hey, how come they only get to drive Louise's car? I think you should let them drive the Caddy. A little spit and shine and it should be good to go?

This is from Ray at NJ Cruisers

Well the day is soon upon us...the Woodbridge St. Patrick's Day Parade is being held once again and the NJ Cruisers are participating. The club has won the best Mobile Unit in the parade every year we have been in it - people come out in droves for the event and the parade folks say this is their biggest parade ever...over 100 units.

We will meet at the usual place...on St. Georges Ave (use North Street as the cross street if you are using navigational aids).

This is a link to Google Maps for the Meet Up location,
Line Up

Be sure to get to the meet up point before 1PM - they start closing the streets after that. Parade starts at 1:30 and we are in Division 2! So the standing around time will be less than last year.

On the dinner side...I found a Charlie Brown's nearby that can accomodate us for dinner. It is not a private room, but it will allow us to sit together...which is really the fun part of this whole thing anyhow!

I do need to give them a head count for the dinner, so if you plan on attending the dinner with us, please drop me an email at njcruzr@njcruisers.com

So remember to bring on the green...decorate your rides...and bring candy for the kids!!!!

Hope you can join us!
