Well, it’s finally starting to get warm outside, so pull off those car covers and come on out to join us for our Spring Poker Run! We will be meeting at the Country Junction Store, located at 487 E. Moorestown Rd in Wind Gap, PA 18091. (www.countryjunction.com) at 10:00am, and leaving around 10:30. The route will be around 53 miles in length, with several stops along the way to enjoy some of the Pennsylvania countryside and to distribute cards! The stops will include: Ø Breakfast at the Trolley Shops Restauant in East Bangor Ø Scenic overlook, Rt 611, Delaware Water Gap Ø Brinker’s Mill in Sciota (info on the Mill at (http://www.hamiltontwp.org/points.html) Ø Pocono Peddlers Village Antique Mall Ø Big Pocono State Park (http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/StateParks/parks/bigpocono.aspx) Ø Awards and dinner at Barley Creek (www.barleycreek.com) We are really hoping to see all of you there. We will be meeting at the Country Junction Store, located at 487 E Moorestown Rd Wind Gap, PA 18091 at 10:00am. We will be leaving the parking lot at 10:30 to give anyone that is running late time to meet us. From there, we will be traveling to East Bangor, and the Trolley Stops Restaurant, 257 East Central Ave East Bangor, PA 18013. We have arranged for a private room for our group, so please let us know by March 30 if you will be joining us. They have arranged a Brunch menu for us. The menu is as follows: TROLLEY SPECIAL: 2 eggs any style, home fries, choice of a short stack of pancakes or French toast, bacon or sausage links. Served with juice & coffee.....$6.50 2 eggs any style, home fries, meat & toast, served with juice & coffee......$5.75 Broccoli & Cheddar omelet with home fries & toast, served with juice & coffee .........$6.00 Salad Delight: House salad topped with a scoop of tuna, chicken & egg salad, served with soup & beverage............$6.75 Grilled chicken, bacon & cheddar with lettuce on a Kaiser with fries & beverage ............$6.75 Cheeseburger with lettuce & tomato, fries & beverage........$6.25 Ham, American cheese, lettuce & tomato on a Kaiser with home made coleslaw & beverage.......$5.50 Turkey Club with chips, soup & beverage....$7.75 After brunch, we will be heading through Portland and Delaware Water Gap, stopping along the way at a scenic overlook of the Water Gap and the Delaware River. Next, we will be driving through the beautiful Cherry Valley on our way to visit Brinker's Mill in Sciota (www.millpictures.com/mills/details.cfm?millid=117) From the Mill, it is up to Pocono Peddler's Village, where you will find a large Antique Mall, a Crafter's Gallery, and some other shops to browse in. After this stop, we will be going up Camelback Mountain to take in the scenery at Big Pocono State Park. From the summit of the mountain, one has a view of vast portions of eastern Pennsylvania as well as parts of New Jersey and New York.
